How to Play

Play Impostor vs Zombies online for free. Impostor vs Zombies is an Among Us-inspired zombie shooting game. Take back the ship from a relentless horde of zombies. Collect coins and gems to pay for upgrades. Play through 50 challenging levels. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

  • Starting the Game
    • On the welcome screen, select Play to begin the game.
    • Select Levels to play the game from any level you want to begin.
    • Select the gear button on the top right corner to change the game’s language.
    • Select the following shop buttons to customize your game:
      • Choose cosmetic upgrades and weapon upgrades via Skins and Gun on the center left.
      • Choose power ups via Items on the center right.
      • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
      • Game Controls
        • Desktop
          • With your keyboard:
            • Use the W, A, S, and D keys to move.
            • Use the Q key to activate the shield.
            • Use the E key to fire the rocket.
            • Use the R key to activate shock wave.
            • Use the Esc key to return to the welcome screen.
            • With your mouse, left click to shoot.
              • Touchscreen devices
                • Although the game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls are optimized for desktops with keyboards.
                • Controls and indicators
                  • The game’s controls and indicators are located on the top center of the screen. From left to right, they are as follows:
                    • Home button
                    • Zombie counter: Lists the number of zombies you’ve killed and need to kill to clear the level.
                    • Life counter
                    • Level number
                    • Power up counters
                    • Game Play
                      • Levels
                        • Levels are unlocked sequentially:
                          • Only the first level is playable at the start of the game.
                          • Finish one level to unlock the next.
                          • You can play the next level immediately or return to the level selection screen.
                          • There are 50 levels in this game.
                            • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
                            • Objectives
                              • Survive the wave of zombies by shooting and evading them.
                              • Don’t let the zombies bite you
                                • You only have 3 lives, which are represented as hearts.
                                • You lose a life each time a zombie attacks you.
                                • If you lose all your lives, you lose the level.
                                • The game helpfully alerts you to the direction the zombies are coming through red arrows.
                                • Make your way to the portal at the end of the level.
                                  • A cyan arrow will point to the direction odf the
                                  • Collect coins to buy weapon upgrades.
                                  • In later levels, you must finish specific tasks to complete the level.
                                    • Power ups
                                      • There are 3 power ups in the game.
                                        • Rockets (200 coins): Rains down rockets, which deal the same amount of damage as your bullets
                                        • Shield (200 coins): Provides you with a temporary barrier of protection from attacks
                                        • Rocket (2 gems): Takes out all enemies within your immediate radius, ideal for when large numbers of zombies close in on you
                                        • Power ups have their own keyboard commands. See the game controls section for more details.
                                        • You can buy the power ups at the Items section on the welcome screen.
                                        • Currency
                                          • There are 2 currencies in the game: coins and gems.
                                            • You earn coins from the following actions:
                                              • Killing zombies
                                              • Finishing a level
                                              • Collecting coin piles
                                              • You earn gems by completing tasks.
                                              • Replaying a level does not let you earn extra coins or gems.
                                              • Use the game’s currencies from either of the shop buttons on the welcome screen.
                                              • We recommend using your coins to buy power ups, as they’re essential to clearing large groups of zombies quickly.
                                              • Target Audience
                                                • The game is suited for players who like zombie survival games.
                                                  • The game does have a gun your astronaut uses to shoot zombies, though the game does not have gore in it.
                                                  • Other than the above the game has no adult themed content.
