How to Play

Play Tennis Is War online for free. Like its name suggests, Tennis Is War is a rapidly escalating 2D tennis game. Defeat your opponents by earning 10 points. Lock in your scores whenever you do a pro shot. Challenge ever more devious opponents as you play through each level. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.
Select Shop to unlock new tennis balls.
Select Settings to adjust your game’s audio settings.

        Levels
        
        Levels are unlocked in sequence.
        
        Earn 10 points to finish a level.
        
        Finish one level to unlock the next.
        
        Each time you restart the game, you begin at the first level.
        
        Basic rules
        
        Approach the ball to hit it.
        
        Keep the ball in play for as long as you can.
        
        In later levels, you’ll encounter double balls and bombs.
        
        Avoid the bombs.
        
        Keep both balls in play until you charge up the pro shot.
        
        Use pro shots to lock in your score.
        
        If you miss the ball, it’s game over. This is depicted by your character being replaced by a tombstone. Sudden death indeed. 😉
        
        Scoring
        
        You earn points for every time you manage to return each serve from your opponent.
        
        You can view your final and high scores on the game over screen.
        
        Pro shot
        
        Charge up the pro shot meter by earning 5 points.
        
        Once the pro shot is active, an arrow will move in arc indicating where the shot will go.
        
        Press the space bar at the right time to lock in the arrow.
        
        The ball must go past your opponent to lock in your score.
        
        After this, you and your opponent will change sides.
        
        Miss, and you lose your current score to your opponent.
        
        If you hit the ball out of bounds, you automatically lose the game.
        
        Customization
        
        Collect coins as they appear in the game. Be careful not to miss the ball when the opponent does a return.
        
        Use the coins to buy new tennis balls.
        
        Beach ball costs 20
        
        Tomato costs 30
        
        Cheeseburger costs 40
        
        Rubber duck costs 50
