How to Play

Play Typing Battle online for free. Typing Battle is a free online game where players type the highlighted words and get as much typed words as possible. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Click or tap start on the screen for the game to begin. Be ready because as soon as the maze appears, the timer starts right away.
On the upper right corner of the screen, players can turn the music on or off.
On the upper right corner of the screen, players can select full screen mode by clicking or tapping the square icon. To exit full screen mode, press ESC on your keyboard. You can also exit the full screen mode by tapping the square icon again.
Your game progress is stored in your local web browser. The high score and accuracy level is shown in the “Time’s Up!” screen after each game. Players can reset the high score and accuracy by clicking ” Clear High Score and Accuracy” at the bottom of the screen.
Game Controls
- You must use your keyboard to type the highlighted word on the screen.
- This game specifically requires players to have a keyboard. It will load on mobile or tablet but your device must be connected to a keyboard in order to play the game.
- Strategy
  - The idea is stay calm an focus on the highlighted word, which is in a black box. Type is as fast and as accurately as you can.
    - Once you type the word, it will disappear and temporarily show how accurately you typed it. If you typed it perfectly without any mistakes, it shows 100% accuracy. Anything less and it shows a lower accuracy level.
    - Expect to type long and short words. These are highlighted randomly. It’s easier to type shorter words compared to longer, more complicated words.
    - The black box jumps around, which makes it harder to get into a rhythm.
    - Again, focus on typing the highlighted word, especially if it’s long. Maintaining focus will help you type fast correctly.
